1. Who we are
This website, goldenelitedeco.com, is operated by Golden Elite Deco Center ("Golden Elite Deco", "we", "us"), 88 boul. Brunswick, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec H9B 2C5, Canada. You can reach us at contact@goldenelitedeco.com or 514-684-4209.
These Terms of Service apply when you browse our website or buy from us online. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. If you buy in one of our stores, the terms on your sales order apply.
2. Your consumer rights come first
Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act, the Civil Code of Québec or the consumer protection laws of your province. If a clause conflicts with those laws, the law wins and the rest of these terms still apply.
3. Products and information
We do our best to describe our products accurately: dimensions, finishes, materials and package contents come from the manufacturer's specification sheets, which you can download from most product pages. Colours and textures can look different on screen than in person, and natural materials such as wood and stone vary from piece to piece. If something is unclear, ask us before you order or visit one of our four Montreal-area showrooms.
Product availability shown on the site can change quickly. Some items are sold as packages (for example, a vanity cabinet with its countertop); the product page lists what is included and what is sold separately.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes are added at checkout, along with any delivery charge shown before you pay. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Promotional and coupon codes are subject to the conditions stated with each offer and cannot be combined unless the offer says so.
If we notice an obvious error in a price or a product description after you order, we will contact you before shipping and you can choose to keep the order at the correct price, choose another product, or cancel for a full refund.
5. Orders
After you place an order, you receive an email confirming that we received it. We may cancel an order in the situations described in our Shipping Policy (for example, if an item is no longer available or the order appears fraudulent); if we do, we refund any amount charged in full to your original payment method.
6. Delivery and pickup
We deliver within Canada and offer free pickup at our Montreal-area stores. Rates, zones, delivery times and pickup details are in our Shipping Policy and our Delivery & Pickup page. Please inspect your delivery and report any damage within 48 hours, as described there.
7. Returns, exchanges and warranty
Returns and exchanges are governed by our Return Policy. Manufacturer warranties are described on our Warranty page. These are in addition to the legal warranties of quality and durability that apply to every product you buy from us under Quebec law.
8. Installation and use
Follow the manufacturer's installation instructions. Plumbing and electrical work should be done by qualified, licensed professionals where the law requires it. Damage caused by improper installation, misuse or modification is not covered by our return policy or by manufacturer warranties.
9. Accounts
If you create an account, keep your login details confidential and make sure the information you give us is accurate. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can ask us to close your account at any time.
10. Reviews and content you send us
When you post a review, photo or question, you confirm it is your own and honest, and you allow us to display it on our website and marketing channels. We may remove content that is unlawful, offensive, misleading or unrelated to our products.
11. Acceptable use
Please do not use the site for anything unlawful, attempt to disrupt it or access it without authorization, copy large parts of it by automated means, or place orders for resale using false information.
12. Intellectual property
The text, photos, videos, logos and design of this website belong to Golden Elite Deco or its suppliers and are protected by law. You may view and print pages for your personal use; any other use requires our written permission.
13. Third-party services
Our site uses third-party services (for example, payment processing, reviews and maps) and may link to other websites. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to them, and we are not responsible for their content.
14. Privacy
How we collect and use personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
15. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as loss of use or installation costs for a product you did not inspect before installing it. This clause does not apply where the law, including the Quebec Consumer Protection Act, does not allow such a limitation, and it never limits our liability for our own fault or for the legal warranties.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you have a concern, please contact us first; most issues can be resolved quickly. Any dispute may be brought before the competent courts of Quebec. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to bring a claim in the courts of the place where you live, including the Small Claims Division of the Court of Québec. No mandatory arbitration applies.
17. Language
These terms are available in French and English. The parties have expressly required that this document and all related documents be drawn up in both languages. Les parties ont expressément exigé que le présent document et tous les documents qui s'y rattachent soient rédigés en français et en anglais.
18. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you place your order applies to that order. The date at the top shows the latest update.
